  • When dividing by 2-digit divisors, first divide by the closest possible digits of the dividend

  • Bring down the subsequent digits, until there are no digits left to divide

  • Write the remainder alongside the quotient. For example, if the remainder is 2, write R2

  • You can check your answer by multiplying the quotient and the divisor, and adding the remainder, if any
