Table is a way to organize the data

Table consists of horizontal rows and vertical columns

Table can be used to study the patterns and relationships

The scale includes all of the data. For example,
Dataset: 2, 10, 20, 6, 17, 3
Scale: 0 - 20

The scale has to be suitable so that we can divide it into regular intervals

The interval separates the scale into equal parts

Tally marks are counters used to record items in a group

After four tally marks, the fifth is represented as a strikeout

The number of tally marks denotes number of pieces of data (frequency)

The cumulative frequency of a dataset is the sum of all preceding frequencies

A stem-and-leaf plot shows data arranged from least to greatest and organized by place value. You can use a stem-and-leaf plot when you want to display data in an organized way that allows you to see each value

The “stems” are the tens digits of the data points. The “leaves” for each stem are all the ones digits in the data points that begin with that stem

The least stem and least leaf give the least value. The greatest stem and greatest leaf give the greatest value

Mean = (Sum of all the values) / (Number of items). Median = Mean of the two middle values for an even number of items when the data are arranged in numerical order

To find the mode, look for the number that occurs most often in a row of leaves. Then identify its stem. The range is the difference between the greatest and least value
