Exponents

An exponent is used to denote repeated multiplication of a base. In this concept, we learn to express numbers using powers and exponents. We also learn about powers of ten and scientific notation, and various properties of exponents. This concept covers both integer and fractional exponents.
The concept is broken into smaller topics, which makes it easier and much more fun for students. The topics are listed below:-
Division Properties of Exponents
In this topic, we learn to simplify the exponential expressions using the Division Properties of Exponents. We also learn to divide the numbers in scientific notation.
Fractional Exponents
This topic deals with the fractional exponents. We also learn to simplify the expressions using the properties of the exponents.
Multiplication Properties of Exponents
This topic deals with the Multiplication Properties of Exponents. We learn to simplify the exponential expressions using the Multiplication Properties of Exponents.
Powers of 10 and Scientific Notation
This topic deals with writing numbers as power of 10 (positive, negative, and zero power) and also to evaluate them. We learn to write scientific notation of numbers and to convert a scientific notation into standard form.
Understand Integer Exponents
This topic deals with integer exponents (zero and nonzero exponents). We also learn to evaluate and simplify the expressions with exponents.
