Topic: Solve Fractional Equations

  • A fractional equation is any equation that has at least one fraction in it.

    For example:
    x + 2 3/7 = 5 4/2 is a fractional equation

  • Express mixed numbers as improper fractions.
    Improper fraction = (Whole number x Denominator + Numerator) / Denominator

  • To find the value of the variable: Subtract/Add the number that is added/subtracted from the unknown variable from both the sides (left hand side and right hand side) of the equation

  • Express the answer in the simplest form
