In this topic, we learn to add and subtract fractions, which have the same denominator.

  • To add fractions, add the numerators and use the same denominator

  • Write the result in the simplest form

  • For example: 2/6 + 4/6 = 6/6 = 1

Topic: Subtract Fractions

  • To find subtraction of two fractions, subtract the numerators and use the same denominator

  • Write the difference of the fractions in simplest form

  • For example: 6/8 – 4/8 = 2/8 = 1/4
