    1 foot (ft) = 12 inches (in.)

    1 yard (yd) = 3 feet

    1mile (mi)= 1760 yards

  • Conversion table for metric units of length:
    1 centimeter (cm) = 10 millimeters (mm)

    1 meter (m) = 100 centimeters

    1 kilometer (km) = 1000 meters

  • To change from larger units of length to smaller units, we use multiplication

  • To change from smaller units of length to larger units, we use division
