Iowa Standards - Grade 8 Math

The state of Iowa has prescribed that students of Grade 8 Math master certain topics. The topics are listed below. Each of these topics/strands are covered in TenMarks, helping students refresh their knowledge, as well as learn as they practice - resulting in mastery.
Content Standard A:Students can understand and apply a variety of math concepts.
 
A.1 Students can understand and apply number properties and operations.
 
A.2 Students can understand and apply concepts and procedures of algebra.

A.4 Students can understand and apply concepts of measurement.
 
A.5 Students can understand and apply concepts in probability and statistics.
Content Standard B: Students can understand and apply methods of estimation.
 
B.1 Students can understand and apply concepts and procedures of standard rounding, order of magnitude, and number sense.
Content Standard C: Students can solve a variety of math problems.
 
C.1 Students can solve math problems.
 
C.2 Students can understand and apply problem-solving approaches and procedures.
Content Standard D: Students can interpret data presented in a variety of ways.
 
D.1 Students can use tables and graphs to locate and read information.
 
D.2 Students can interpret data from a variety of sources.
